I personally know 100's of Native Americans.....some are relatives of mine. They are very happy the name is going away!!

Even being a long time baseball fan I am disheartened. Another example of removing symbols of our past. Baseball is continuing the trend. Sad.

I lost interest in professional baseball and football in early 90’’s. As long as majority wannabes’ buy overpriced tickets they will do what the want. After-all pigeon’s never catch on. And we know who in majority buying tickets.

Braves not changing name ; well not yet. They are getting more involved with native Americans like having game days that honor them.

Now that's what I'm talking about. The Braves are a class organization and I pray that they don't concede to the woke group whose sole intention is to destroy our past and eventually our future. The American Indian nation has a proud history that should be celebrated, not diminished by these antics. Cleveland Guardians. What a sham!! We are becoming a nation of sheep.

Pacifiers. So all those poor, offended people will have something else to suck on.

It seems that the Team’s official logo does NOT have a face, but rather baseball under the helmet. Other unofficial renderings to contain faces.

Who cares about some stupid baseball team in Cleveland, of all places?

I'm more worried about the name of our country: "America", named for a Spanish imperialist.

If we must inhabit Orwell's nightmare, where history is continually edited by the "Ministry of Truth", maybe we ought to change our name to U.S.O. -- "The Union of Soviet Oceania".

Again - the best way to fight all this nonsense is to hit the owners where it hurts --- in the wallet. Don't go to the games and stop watching on TV etc .......of course easy for me to say as I have not watched a baseball game in 10 years. They owners have the right to do whatever they want and so do the fans.

It is awful we live in a time of such political correctness. I always felt that the name and logo always represented the strength and character of the American Indian. It was a compliment to them and not disparaging in any way. The same for the Atlanta Braves. I do see the argument for changing the name of the Washington Redskins, that could be considered offensive. People need to chill out, hopefully this political correctness and cancel culture will eventually die out. If not thankfully I will not be here to see the damage and destruction it will do to this country.

The Cleveland Indians is an organization, some would say a business, that can call themselves whatever they choose to.

Those that seem offended by the name change - well, maybe you now have a sense of the feelings of those that wanted the change. Words are important.

I think they should have gone with the Cleveland Caucasians.

Maybe they should make all the teams in every sport change their name to a FLAVOR. The Cleveland Vanillas and the Washington Razzberries. How about the New York Butterscotches and the Los Angeles Butter Pecans?
