Quick search by citation:
Title Section
36 U.S. Code § 301 - National anthem
U.S. Code

(1) when the flag is displayed—
(A) individuals in uniform should give the military salute at the first note of the anthem and maintain that position until the last note;
(B) members of the Armed Forces and veterans who are present but not in uniform may render the military salute in the manner provided for individuals in uniform; and
(C) all other persons present should face the flag and stand at attention with their right hand over the heart, and men not in uniform, if applicable, should remove their headdress with their right hand and hold it at the left shoulder, the hand being over the heart; and

(2) when the flag is not displayed, all present should face toward the music and act in the same manner they would if the flag were displayed.

(Nothing said about singing)

(C) all other persons present should face the flag and stand at attention with their right hand over the heart, and men not in uniform, if applicable, should remove their headdress with their right hand and hold it at the left shoulder, the hand being over the heart;

The majority of players failed to face the flag and place their hand over their heart. Some are ok with them acting this way, others are not. Citing flag code is not going to change minds.

Any other suggestions?

This is mainly a political matter for those team members so we should not be discussing it here. I mean the flag saluting fight.

How about the German team! 6 goals over Morocco. Germany women's national football team - Wikipedia

Never order fish if you are more than 20 miles away from the Gulf/Ocean.

"Never get involved in a land war in Asia"

And of course this one...

"Never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line!"

Is there a reason to make untrue statements? The leaders of the team have made it clear that they do not love this country or its values.

Actually, some of the freshest fish in the US is in Louisville, KY.

The reason why is that when the fish are caught in say, Alaska, they are immediately put on ice and shipped overnight via Fed Ex, which has a major hub in Louisville. So restaurants there get their fish faster.

Of course if you mean fresh caught and brought to the restaurant, you would be correct.
