Unhappy Mills Lane passes. Championship Boxing Referee.

Mills Lane - Wikipedia

He used to play bridge with my parents in Reno, Nevada in the 1970s and was a big help to our family at times. And I had some nice chats with him on the phone in the 1990s. His wife was about a head taller than he was.

I think just about everyone was at least a head taller than him…. Mr. Lane was an excellent referee, and was the third man in the ring for some very big fights.
