Excellent post!

Apparently...just like in the past few years tiger isn't back...going backwards perhaps...every time he returns to the tour the pundits say this is the time of his great rebound...unfortunately it's not even close to the same person. Besides being in his 40's and over muscled compared to his "great" years his mental baggage won't change. There is something to be said for living an honest life....

Tiger isn’t back and he won’t be back he is done. I don’t appreciate his bad temper or his foul mouth.

Come on folks, some of us don’t have a problem with his race. He is hands down the best golfer in the world and for golfers like me, he is a joy to watch.

Tiger has a long way to go before getting anywhere near where he was.

I don't care if he's black, white, blue, green, or purple...that is a highly debatable claim. In fact, when you use the present tense, it is flat out wrong...not even close.

Plus, some of us "folks" might consider things like character when we decide whether to like an athlete or not...something which Tiger sorely lacks.

For clarity and accuracy the last statement above needs to be modified to reflect the current fact of life.....he "was" the best golfer.
Recent and current performances underscore that reality.

If he makes it back good for him. If not he will be no different than all other past great golfers still playing golf....somewhere back in the pack!!

Correction: Was in contention for the Best Golfer Ever. When his gold digger wife swung the 7 Iron He lost all his confidents in that club due to the scare that got etched in his saddle riding brain.

Now you can say he's back in the saddle again, we'll see if he gets bucked off or jumps off as in the pass.

Shame! He could of been the best Golfer ever, but got side traced.. Just like Mike Tyson! But, Mike had lots of help!

His presence will only detract from the real talent of today as some of the media and announcers tend to live in the past and over cover his current play at the expense of those playing much better golf.

I blame those doing the coverage...not Tiger.
Amen

Palmer and Nicholas changed the game. Tiger just took the ride

Wow. Living in The Villages, I would think all you folks who agree with this post are old enough to remember when golf really became big-time. It was Arnie, with the help of Jack, Gary, Lee and some others...both mostly Arnie if you have to pick one person.

Nobody can argue Tiger's ability as a golfer. Or that he was the biggest attraction of his era. But to argue that he took golf to the big-time and is the one responsible for the purses, venues, etc. is as wrong as wrong can be. That person would be the General...of Arnie's Army!!
