Default People Living with AutoImmune Disease -PLAID

Hi, I am forming a new Support Group for People Living with AutoImmune Disease called PLAID. I was just listed in "The Villages Recreation and Parks News" and so I have no place or time as yet. We will meet once a month for support, news and information exchange. Please call my home at 352-268-2859 if you are interested. Thanks, Beth

Hi Ohiobestus,
There are over 100 autoimmune diseases. This happens when your own body attacks itself. Normally, your body's immune system protects you from disease and infection. But if you have an autoimmune disease, your immune system attacks healthy cells in your body by mistake. Autoimmune diseases can affect many parts of the body.
I hope this helps, Beth
