I read it and basically enjoyed it (once I got over the fact that it's a script for a play and not a novel). While reading it, I wasn't so much thinking of how they could or could not do this as a movie. I was more thinking, "How in the world would they do this as a play?" The scenes were so short, in wildly different locations and involved the kids growing up over several years. How do you do that in live theater?

My wife read it and lamented how skimpy the story details were in the script vs. how Rowling could luxuriate in details over the course of a 1500-page (or whatever length) novel. She really enjoys wallowing in the details of a well constructed fantasy world and this script just couldn't provide that.

I was disappointed in the plot and the only character I enjoyed was Scorpious.
