By Diane Diamonte. Best book I ever read! Should be able to find in in paperback at thrift stores, flea mkts, All Booked Up.

I agree - it is one of the best books I have ever read about relationships among women.

I read "the red tent" this year. My daughter had recommended it to me. It is set in biblical times with fictionalized storyline about the women of the ten tribes of Israel. Really captured the feel of Israel and the life of the time. Thoroughly enjoyed it!

I read this book several years ago! I rarely keep books after reading but this was a keeper. Very insightful look into biblical history.

Default The Poisonwood Bible

For those of you who enjoyed "The Red Tent" you may also enjoy reading "The Poisonwood Bible" by Barbara Kingsolver, I couldn't put it down.
It's about a family whose father moves them to Africa to bring religion to the natives and their individual experiences (mother & daughters) whilst enduring terrible hardships that their fanatical father is too blind to see…………..
