Default Temple Grandin -- Great Movie!

Just rented the movie "Temple Grandin" and it is terrific! Claire Daines did such a wonderful job she was almost unrecognizeable. She portrayed the real Dr. Temple Grandin during her high school and college years. What a woman to be admired. She is autistic, but manages to break into a male dominated field of work, while securing a doctorate in animal husbandry. Amazing. I'm going to watch it again! A really wonderful, heart-warming film. Has anyone else seen this one?

I saw it some time ago and it's still in my mind. Brilliant movie. What courage she had and of course she got wonderful support from her mother and her teachers.

I too rented it recently. Wanted to see it because I have several friends and acquaintances whose children are on some spectrum of autism. This movie gives hope to these parents (whose kids are high functioning) and I agree that it was very well done. Miss Grandin broke through the barriers and offers insights that never before were given. Her mother must be applauded for being her best cheerleader and a force behind her as well.

Default Caught some of this on TV the other day.

Did not realize what it was until just now. I'll have to look for it.

I think it was an HBO original last year. I highly recommend it.

It's available on Netflix. Thanks for the recommendation, I'm going to move it to the top of our request list.

By the way, we signed up for Netflix a couple of months ago .... love it!

I believe Temple received a Golden Globe Award this year. A remarkable woman and a great movie.
