Yep ! Kind of a game some people like to play I think. I'll have to look this one up... remember as a kid being absolutely thrilled when my parents took me to the "big" city to see a "CinemaScope" movie... the Greatest Show on Earth. What a thrill to see Ringling Brothers & B.B. on a screen that size. One of my all time top movies, due to the incredible way it was able to produce a stark warning of what communist socialism really is, against an "innocent" and mesmerizing love story, exactly what Pasternak had to do to get the truth out. Another all time favorite book and movie is The Last Emperor. Guess I also have to add Lawrence of Arabia to that list, learn something new each time I view that one, and same with Dances with Wolves. "Epic" is the perfect adjective for such films !

The casting assistant director for Saving Private Ryan
is the daughter of a Villager. Or was back in mid 2000s. They might have moved.

I sure thought it was much better than Shakespeare in Love. Shakespeare in Love won for Best Picture.

I'm not really a movie person. Only watched a few this year. But I've seen at least 55 of these movies over the years. A few of the older ones I'm not 100% sure of because it would have been a long time ago so I didn't count them. Anyway, I'm a bit surprised more people haven't seen more of these movies.

I think something else is going on here but should not get into it.

I hope we can focus on the movies and not something else. I do hope Top Gun: Maverick wins for Best Picture for the Oscars.
