Great movie "The Usual Suspects." I watched it one afternoon and felt I had to watch it again to see what I had missed. It was almost like watching another film.
I also like "Beyond the Sea." The highly flawed and fictionalized Bobby Darin bio-pic. Anybody remember his run on "Wise Guy?" Terrific in that. |
For me "American Beauty", the whole film had such an erie presence. From the kid next door dating his daughter and then later becoming his pot provider, to the kid's psycho father which introduced us to another great actor in Chris Cooper. Even though his part wasn't very big, he was special sort of nut case in Se7en. In the ending when out in the middle of nowhere, a delivery driver brings a box, only to find out it's the head of Brad Pitt's wife, Gwyneth Paltrow. Of course Morgan Freeman was always the cool head throughout the film. Both of these movies I have watched more than a few times.

It starred Ken Wahl as a undercover cop deep into infiltrating bad guys. He was so good and his boss while wheel chair bound, usually gave instructions over the phone. One of the bad guys was Kevin Spacey, who usually rode around in a limo creating big problems for the police. It was a really one of the best shows ever, but I belive it was short-live not for lack of great stuff but Ken Wahl was a bit of a problem, I believe after a motorcycle accident he somehow got involved in drugs. I really never saw him much afterwards, which is a shame. http://ia.media-imdb.com/images/M/MV...82,268_AL_.jpg |
Anybody know where to watch the move Seven? (I'm also looking for Memento, but I know that's off topic.)

About a year ago TNT was showing Se7en just about every other weekend, it was cut for TV but that film didn't have that much language to delete, mostly one scene was all they did.
I just checked my Directv online guide and Se7en is not listed in search, which includes the next two weeks, and I've got all the HBO, Cinemax, Starz and Showtimes channels as well as others in the Premier Package. I checked Bestbuy and they don't list it either. Walmart I checked next and they have the widescreen Blueray DVD for $7.50 and they say it's in stock at the 466 Walmart. Unfortunately when it comes to Memento, Walmart only lists it available as part of the Christopher Nolan Blueray Collection which also includes 3 Batman films, Inception and Memento for $43, they do show it in stock at The Villages Walmart. Personally I've seen Se7en so many times I've lost track, I did get the DVD a while back for like $5, I think it was in one of those bins at Walmart, it wasn't the Blueray. Memento I've only seen on TV, not in DVD, it's well worth seeing multiple times. I've seen it only it about 3 times because it will give your brain a test. Next I search Netflix, they list both titles available on DVD but neither is available for streaming. I also check Amazon, you can watch Se7en for $3.99, you have 30 days to watch once you've purchased. Memento they show is not available. http://ia.media-imdb.com/images/M/MV...82,268_AL_.jpg |
