For me, this movie was first & foremost a car movie! I still would love to have that 32 Coupe Milner drove, but would gladly settle for the bad & black 55 Chevy Harrison Ford drove!

Was it Kathleen Quinlan? I'm pretty sure that was her first credited movie role. She was one of girls at the dance hop. I always had a crush on her. I was surprised somewhat when she was in The Doors movie and did a quick topless scene.

What was neat about AG was it had multiple plot lines. You had Richard Dreyfuss, which this film help launch his career, trying to remember the good times before he goes off to college and is sidetracked by the blonde in the T-Bird (who was Suzanne Somers in one of her early roles). That was obviously the main story, but there was many other things going on during the night, it was more than just a buddy film.

What gets overlooked is the band playing at the school hop, Flash Cadillac who went to have a fairly successful career keeping this music alive. I believe they are still playing shows to this day.

Yes and no. I didn't make the original post, but what he posted was the soundtrack from the movie. Flash Cadillac who I posted about above, they were the band at the school hop and that was the song they played in the movie. However, you're correct that Danny and the Junior recorded 'At the Hop'.

Also not on the OP's song list is Flash Cadillac playing Louie Louie in American Graffiti. The most popular version of Louie Louie was recorded by The Kingsmen. However Flash Cadillac is the band playing the school hop in the movie.

I know a '57 Chevy is really nice. If I could, I would buy a '62 Corvette, I always liked those side scoupes. However, I even like a '62 T-Bird, especially the covertible with that backseat cover and round tail lights.

However, I like traveling in luxury, and the '57 Cadillac Eldorado can't be beat. I looked up one like this online and they're going for about $150K.

I think the front view of a '55 Olds Starfire is what Jay Leno's Garage uses on their TV show intro, I believe his is silver, this is a '57. They show the front view just like this coming at you and then stopping quick. I would definitely like to own one.

I do some DJ work (private parties) and I have a theme party based on Wolfman Jack.

Back in the day, as many had, we spent Friday and Saturday Night on the "DRAG".

Just a business street that was picked to drive up and down all night. Of course it had the drive in Burger Places, etc. Always had the radio playing with windows down. So the Movie was a piece of AMERICANA.
