Very realistic but also often hard to watch movie. Great acting, script and scenery.

Should be Oscar material in various categories.

It probably is not in many theaters now. Came out on Blu-Ray and DVD recently.

It is a rather serious movie. I did not find it uplifting just well acted, written, directed, etc.

So you're saying too depressing? A movie doesn't necessarily need to be uplifting for me to enjoy it, but I hope to at least come out with my mind stimulated in some way if it's a serious movie. NOTHING worse than going to a movie and walking out confused and depressed.

It has some depressing moments but is better at the end. Do not want to put in spoilers.
