Default Movies turn off

Went tp the movies today. The movie was wonderful. But nearly walked out as we sat thru 45 minutes of commercials and previews.

And what did you see and where? Some theater chains have a lot more coming attractions than others.

I timed about eight minutes of previews at Ad Astra at the Barnstorm Theater last week.

Although that sounds extra long, I know what you mean.

I’m having a harder and harder time seeing the advantage of the theater over my living room.

When ever I see a particular movie I wish to see show time is when I leave my home 10 to 15 min ride
Knowing when I get there all commercials and previews will be about over
yes I have come close a few times

America runs on advertising. If you don't like it, get there about 15-20 minutes after the scheduled start time. I find these previews very informative. I also eat all my popcorn before the movie starts, so I have to go back for more, but that's also America.

I don't go to the movies because of all the noise distractions from people using cell phones, talking, or making other noises. It ruins the whole experience for me. Why don't they have a plug in jack where I could use headphones to listen to the movie? It would certainly bring me back to the movies.

Where have you been? Previews and advertising have been going on for years in all the theaters I visited. It's not something new. Even the old drive-ins had the same thing. But, tacos in the theater? That's pushing it. Get Vudu, Amazon, or Netflix and enjoy the movies in the comfort of your own home.
