Have not seen Moonlight yet but it may be the same story. I did like La La Land quite a bit but there were others last year that were much better like Arrival. I really loved Hidden Figures as another one of these movies.

Keaton seems to be playing a Birdman like villain-- the Vulture-- in the upcoming Spider-Man: Homecoming movie. Michael Keaton - Rotten Tomatoes

Watch it again, I've seen it in the theater and on DVD, I'll grant you that the film is a little complicated. Think about Amy's character and how she kept getting flashes of the future. Without giving away the story, the aliens came here for one reason, to warn us.

I did watch it again and figured out the ending. Not that it left me warm and fuzzy.
