Default Siskel vs. Ebert's annual best movie lists.

Siskel and Ebert Top Ten Lists (1969-1998)

Not sure whom I agree with the most in these lists. Some years I agree more with Siskel, others with Ebert.

Thanks for the list - saved it!

Siskel liked Saturday Night Fever and Buddy Holly Story. Ebert liked Apocalypse Now and Animal House.

I'm nearly 100% with Ebert. Many of Siskel's picks I don't remember or never even heard of.

They are definitely worth a look however. Some of them kind of grow on you after a few viewings like My Dinner With Andre. Ebert's No. 1 for 1981 and Siskel has it at two. It is just two men talking philosophically over dinner. http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/my_dinner_with_andre/

Taltarzac725 mentions the movie My Dinner with Andre.I prefer the sequel My Breakfast with Blassie starring Andy Kauffman and wrestler Fred Blassie.

My Breakfast with Blassie - Rotten Tomatoes

I enjoyed some of Andy Kaufman's antics in other movies, shows and live theater even though sometimes it seemed he would try anything --no matter how inane-- to get a laugh. Especially liked Jim Carrey's portrayal of him in Man on the Moon http://www.rottentomatoes.com/celebrity/jim_carrey/. Carrey and Kaufman seemed like kindred spirits.
