You mean, the United Network Command for Law Enforcement. I think it was on NBC on Monday nights. I was about 18 and it was before Monday Night Football started. That was my favorite night for TV, the lineup was the Monkees, Laugh In and then The Man From Uncle.

I loved "Man from U.N.C.L.E." back in the day! That and seeing James Bond movies when they aired on BBC and watching "The Avengers" and later "The Prisoner". I was maybe 9 or 10 years old at the time and the whole super-suave spy thing really appealed to me.

I've never re-watched any of the "U.N.C.L.E" episodes and don't know now if I'd like them or not. Some things are best left in the past. I tried watching the finale for "The Prisoner" a few years ago and it was just stupid.

I'm not sure if the "U.N.C.L.E" movie will be any good or not. They made a modern movie out of "The Avengers" and it bombed. But there have been some good things that came out of old TV shows. The re-imagining of "Battlestar Galactica" made for a great series. The recent "Batman" films were great (particularly the second one). And the new incarnation of James Bond has been great. I can only hope for a good one from "U.N.C.L.E"!
