My, how time flies. It almost seems like only a few months ago.

I, too, miss him; he was a multifaceted acting phenomenon. His Mrs. Doubtfire was his most incredible performance IMHO. Probably the timing of when I saw it...

About 11 years ago, hubby and I learned last minute that he was performing near us. We tried to get tickets but they were fully sold out. In desperation we bought expensive scalper’s tickets (which we have been lucky with in the past). We went in, sat down, and Robin had us in tears of laughter in minutes. We just couldn’t stop laughing. A short while later an usher came by to check on our tickets and he found they were fake! We had to leave. Such a disappointment, of course we lost all the cash hubby paid too. But even a bit of Robin Williams was worth it.

Hard to believe it has been 5 years. What a talent. What a shame.

He did that routine on an HBO special that was broadcast live from Broadway. I remember watching it and laughing my a$$ off. YouTube it. Language is a little salty but needed for the effect
