I second your emotion. But if they released films directly to streaming at the same time as they release them to theaters, almost no one would go to theaters. This way, we have the choice. Choice is better even though waiting is hard.

I also prefer having homemade refreshments & sitting in my recliner while petting my little dog. The only movies worth going to a theater for would be ones with extremely good visual effects like Titanic or Star Wars. Can’t beat a giant screen with booming sound for those. I will watch Reagan when I can because it’s a biographical film but I’ve been been disappointed by Hollywood for many years. And I quit watching TV series’ in 1990 as soon as my son was old enough to show me the world thru his eyes.

I agree. But, the only thing the movie theater offers that cannot always be duplicated at home is the screen size. Everything else is inferior to a good home theater system. Their sound systems are usually substandard and too loud.

Give it six months - it'll be available for purchase digitally, and six months after that you'll be able to rent it on Amazon Prime Video for $9.99

Or better yet see it for free on Prime or Netflix

If it does well at the box office, it won't be available for free on any legal streaming service for a long time. They milk individual purchases and rentals as long as the market will bear, before they offer it free.

All I can add is it is among the one in a thousand movies made in recent years I would pay to watch. Most recent movies I would not watch if paid $500/hr to do so.

Exactly. I see so much complaining about the movie theaters closing… but people don’t go anymore! Yet they still blame the Developer.

Cant stand the popcorn smell, or the munching and slurping of the watchers, who think they may die of starvation during the two hours the films run.
Same with the noise of continuous cell phones.
Would it hurt to turn the damned things off for the film's duration?

Very true

I saw Reagan speak at the University of Nevada, Reno on October 7, 1982. He was on the Quad with a few thousand in the audience. Very good speaker who could complete a sentence and deliver it with passion and humor. There is a video of some of it. Google the date along with UNR and Reagan.

Turns out it is $9.10 with Villages ID. When I asked about the $8.50 I paid, she said that was tax free. I didn't know movie theaters did tax free. But at least one day this summer they did.

Fascinating fellow and a very good President. Shame he developed alzheimers in his second term. His wife did a great job protecting and taking care of him.

I went to LSL today and I loved this movie! Of course it didn’t hurt that he was my favorite President, despite the fact that he’s responsible for some of our homeless since he decided to shut down the mental hospitals. The scene at the gate in Berlin was priceless.
