Rutger Hauer - Rotten Tomatoes

My late younger brother had met him when he was filming Blind Fury in the Reno/Tahoe area around 1988. Said he was a very nice and kind person. Blind Fury (1990) - Rotten Tomatoes

I remember Rutger Hauer for two very good movies in the 80's. First was Nighthawks, which I thought outside of Rocky and Rambo, was Sylvester Stallone best movie or as good as those. Hauger played the terrorist that Stallone and Billy Dee Williams of NYC Police were trying to catch. Rutger taking hostages in the aerial cable car was one of the best scenes. That's Stallone with the beard trying to negotiate with Hauer.

The Villages Florida

The other one I really liked was The Hitcher with Rutger tormenting highway travelers in the desert, mainly C. Thomas Howell. It was redone about ten years ago but not nearly as good.

My favorite Rutger Hauer movie is "Ladyhawke".

Anybody notice he died in the same year as his character in the 1982 movie Blade Runner, Roy Batty, 2019?

No. I had watched the old Blade Runner a number of months back but did not remember that.
