Default Anyone interested in a "blues" music club?

Just throwing it out there. Rock blues, bluesy rock. Jam songs, with lots of room to improvise. Who would be interested. I play guitar.

There are a bunch of country music groups, there's bluegrass, one plain rock group died out, another guy is looking to start another rock club (I PMed him), but nothing bluesy.

I don't know anything about starting a club, just looking to see if there's any interest.

What do you guys play? Anything besides guitar? I play to backing tracks at home and it's a lot of fun. Maybe if not a "club", we could get together somewhere and do some playing to backing tracks. Just a thought.

Blues music is a sensational idea because, unlike almost any other form of music, blues is enjoyed by all ages. It spans time. Good notion.

My husband plays a mean harmonica. He recently played at McCalls tavern. He also plays acoustic guitar, and sings. Classic rock, blues. Would really like to get together and jam with other guitar players for FUN. sent you a PM.

I love the blues and have been trying to learn to play blues harp for years, but I am completely talentless. I would love to come listen to you guys jam if you get something together.

I would be interested. I love blues. Look in the Thursday activity supplement of the Daily News - there may be someone to contact to do an interest survey for a new club.

There is a blues jam every Monday nite from 7:00pm til 10:00pm at city fire at Brownwood. Snakeyes hosts it. I find it better run than Mcall's on Tuesday, but nothing says you that you can't hit both of them. P.S. I play drums but its hard to get anything going when your only here for 6 months as most people want someone year round.

I think a Blues Club is a great idea. When I first moved here, I attended a few of the guitar clubs looking for a niche. Although there were a lot of very nice and talented people, nothing really drew me in. My interest is blues (guitar and harmonica) so I'm very excited about the possibility of this club. Let's not let this drop. I'd like to meet others who are interested.

Here's a little about myself. I'm 62, been in The Villages (Gilchrist) since June 2013. I play mostly acoustic guitar with blues harmonica and electric interest. I'm a 30+ year beginner. Not being modest, just never dedicated until lately. If anyone out there is interested in getting together sometime whether it's to jam or talk about how to move forward with a club, please reply with your interest. Thanks,
Greg

You start it, I will come. I would love to work on learning how to improvise blues solos.

I also play drums if you get something together and need a drummer.

Please keep me posted.
