I always consider this iteration of the Eagles as the second one because Tim joined the band and changed the complexion of their music and songs. There's an Eagles tribute CD from the 90s called "A Common Thread" done by all country artists and Vince Gill, now playing with The Eagles, covers "I Can't Tell You Why" and it's really fantastic.

For my two cents - listen to Randy Miesner (one of the 4 original Eagles) sing Take It To The Limit - the Live version. Damn!! At the end when he hits the high long note - sends tingles through me. Life is good - Enjoy.
