Cool New band at the squares

I went to LSL Monday evening to see the new band Yesterdaze. They were all decked out in tye dyed clothes and everyone was sporting peace symbols...just like the good old hippy days... Music was from the late 60's early 70's...Aretha Franklin, Janice Joplin, CCR, Beatles, Crosby, Still, Nash & Young, Wilson Pickett, Yardbirds, etc... All good stuff, in my book. I would love bands of this era to play regularly in the squares.

Anyone else get a chance to see them and have an opinion?

Saw them, heard them, thought they were great. Hope we have the opportunity to see them again.

We are moving down soon and would love to see music from this era. Love the above and also motown. Thanks for the heads up on Yesterdaze. You have good taste.

Default Band

I thought the band was just wonderful. I called the entertainment office with my opinion.

That's not the band, but here's a link to their website... Seems I left one letter out of their name, it's YESTERDAYZE. Just looking at their upcoming dates, I suspect we will not see them around here very much in the summer. More likely in the fall and winter...

Peace!

Best band we ever saw in the squares was the Caribbean Chillars full band. Awesome. Don't know if they play there any more, certainly didn't last winter while we were there.

I agree - I heard Santana as I was walking down Canal and thought they had the real CD playing. They were very good!

Peace!
Thanks! I did find a video of Yesterdayze on YouTube that gives a good sampling of their music. I never heard of them before now, but I can see why they would be well accepted at the Villages. Good music!

They are fantastic! Hope they will return often! I'd get out to listen to them every chance I had!
