Default The Oscars

Tonight's Oscar presentation will have no host and my interest is minimal this year. Johnny Carson hosted the 1982 Oscars and this clip of best song nominee makes me nostalgic for the big productions that used to be standard fare. Enjoy.

You couldn't pay me enough to watch the Oscars.

The Nielsen ratings for the Oscars have dropped over the last several years. I believe that the humor at the expense of many of our views as a country has caused the falling interest.

Nothing worth watching or reading about.
The event has deteriorated to nothing more than self appointed political/hate diarrhea dispenser contest.

Total waste of time to watch. I'll pass.

I will tape it to double-check anything mentioned by friends and family on Facebook but do not really enjoy watching any award shows.

But will probably not watch much of the recording unless there is something interesting in the 2-24-2019 Oscars.

Watch every year, kinda of a holiday in our house. The rest of you enjoy reruns or Netflix.

I will be watching some of this movie on Blu-Ray -- Bad Times at the El Royale (2018) - Rotten Tomatoes and The Walking Dead.

We will be in our pool, drinking a Margerita, and listening to golden oldies on the radio during the Oscars. I will check out the winning movies in the morning and take them off our order que since no good comedies or action movies ever win an oscar.

Green Book won for Best Picture and this movie seemed quite beloved here in the Villages.

Nope. Saw it on the pictures Microsoft News chooses for my computer.

Yes it is a form of artistic expression. Perhaps. Or...

As some might say;

"It is better to be looked over, than overlooked. And that is the reason people seek a stage career. If we were all the same we might wear white lab coats and solve medical mysteries

Something new to ponder everyday.

I have found over the years that as people age they tend to disengage from the world of entertainment. Young people are more full of life, hope and promice; thereby, flock to Hollywood driven entertainment. Us old folks would rather have a quiet meal.
