Question Cable busters

We have DirecTV and are considering trying "Cable Busters". Please tell me if you have tried this service and if you would recommend it. Thank you.

From their FB page it looks like all they do is install antennae for you..... The streaming services can be set up by most anyone.

One word of caution, make sure you have at least a couple of weeks to make sure you have reliable over the air TV reception and that you are satisfied with the stations you get. Our location is fairly low and there is a hill in Leesburg that interferes with reception (65 channels) most of the time, so we had to abandon the use of OTA antennas. I tried 2 different antennas, with amplification, and a signal monitor to check aiming.
So make sure whoever you use provides a guarantee and NO COST removal of equipment and a full refund if you are not satisfied.

I live in Country Club Hills at a very low spot with trees, power lines and a cell phone tower in the way of the Melbourne antennas, but I still get good reception, about 10 stations including WESH, which is the hardest to get.

Comes in handy when cable is out and for watching local news in the morning.

I used 2-1/2 3/4" electrical conduits for my pole and ran the wire under my house.

We called Best Buy and they sent out a specialist to talk about cutting the cable. We're still deciding. It seems to have a lot of moving pieces but I do think we can lower our bill by about $70 a month after 5 months of paying off the new equipment.

I think this whole cable busting thing is going to backfire. When the cable busters put the cable companies out of business, they will just raise their prices to the same level that people were willing to pay for cable TV in the first place.

Nobody knows how the markets will evolve in the future. If you are flexible you will always pay less than those who aren’t. By the way, if they are out of business they can’t raise your prices.

I tend to agree, I just saw a news article (opinion piece I think) that stated the same thought.

More competition = lower prices. If you can't use an antenna, there are several streaming services available that are killing the cable and dish thieves. The more the merrier. Technology has enabled competition we haven't had before.

Try CordCutters. It is an App on my phone. It may change your mind about the prices in the future.

YouTube TVoffers most if not all the "cable channels" you will want, and most all of the local channels. I particularly like it as I live in The Villages part time and Kansas City part time, and get the KC local channels in both places - plus it is portable so don't have to pend in one place and activate in the other. For local channels I have a power antenna in TV.

Agree with Nucky. Really not that difficult. Watch CordCutters

Some people cannot live without Hallmark, which Youtube TV doesn't offer. I love the chick flicks.
