I also like most/all of the Budweiser commercials. They reflect humor and creativity that most of us don’t have.

First off who is Ricky Fowler?
I watch hours of tv a day and see many commercials. For the most part I am amazed that people get paid for creating most of them, they are all so bad. Can’t think of any I like but there are plenty I don’t like. |

I wish that Stan Freberg was still with us. He made some classics.

Commercials
We skip through 99% of commercials, but LOVE the Progressive “You are turning into your parents” ones.

We have not viewed commercials for decades! That is what DVRs are for.

I like the dogs in Subarus, especially the one with the Dad dog watching the glamorous poodle cross the street. (I don’t know if they’re on anymore though.)
Aldi did a clever Christmas ad for wine a few years ago. Anybody remember that 1980s ad campaign sponsored by the “National Coffee Association”……. ”You are the New American Society, the movers and the shakers. You are the new coffee generation,” exclaimed the announcer as somebody in the background was singing, “Hold on tight to your dreams.” It was obviously aimed directly at career-minded boomers who were supposed to become more successful by swilling down copious quantities of coffee…….. Well, where I worked, the coffee tasted like bilge water and nobody ever deigned to wash the coffee pot. But, at least, we were not spending all our money paying stupid amounts for coffee at Starbucks on our way to work. It is kind of fun to look up those old commercials to see the “Coffee Achievers.” Silly ads. Boomer |
