In 1970 Dick Cavett talked to legends Janis Joplin and Gloria Swanson, actress Margot Kidder. Many say that what made his shows so interesting was his mix of celebrities and the unexpected direction of the conversation. Another night he had on Jack Benny; Bill Cosby and Joe Frazier. To watch Jack Benny collapse with laughter over the funny things Bill Cosby AND Joe Frazier said I think says a lot about Jack Benny. I can’t think of anyone who enjoyed laughing more.

When I exhaust the Dick Cavett Youtubes I will look for Jack Parr.

Dick Cavett was the consummate talk show host. Intelligent and entertaining.

You won't see the likes of him again. IMHO
