I remember Savannah from CourTV, I was regular viewer when it was first aired in the late 90s until it went the air, and Savannah was a courthouse reporter. She does tend to let politics get into her questions. I was regular viewer of the Today Show since I was a kid in the 50s with Dave Garroway, and watched right to Matt Lauer. The Savannah, Hoda, and the rest on the Today Show now, has ruined what was a great morning show and I quit watching.

I see it that she was standing up to him and giving him straight on questions that he couldn't handle...especially from a women...again, same thing with Leslie Stahl. Hes a dominator and when he can't, he pouts.

Today show, not so good anymore...my opinion...do we really need 3 hrs a day?

I think if a person would watch a chess match over a game show, its not because they can't answer the questions...on contraire.

I might or maybe not. I have never tried. The whole game show-thing seems a little lightweight to me - kind of like afternoon soap operas, which I would not watch also. I don't watch dancing with the stars either, although I would consider that medium-weight, not lightweight. I never watch horse racing because I have never owned a horse and not even close to a thoroughbred racehorse. I never watch Nascar because I don't get off on watching car wrecks - and driving around in circles seems strange. Drag races with stock cars would seem more reasonable to me, but I would not watch it on TV or in person. I don't even slow down and gawk at a roadside accident with police there. I would not watch a competition about show dogs. I might watch a dog obedience trial or a retriever trial. To summarize ------I think that what a person does NOT watch on TV or in person is just as meaningful about them as what they DO watch.

I agree. I emailed Jeopardy.com and expressed my happiness with Ken. He’s quick, kind, smart and humble. Not to mention he would be totally dedicated as others have had previous tv gigs. You should also email Jeopardy.com before they turn it into a host-centered carousel of stars. It’s about the game.

Agreed, I've already sent an email and a tweet with my recommendation to keep Ken as a permanent host.

My wife doesn't like him, but I think of the three masterminds, he is the best fit. Thank god they didn't pick the other arrogant ...

Ken is very good. If they want to go with the rest of that line up it will probably kill the show.

Kgcetm 02-17-2021 08:28 AM

I think Ken Jennings is doing a fabulous job. His wardrobe has improved and his personalty has blossomed. I look forward to ABC announcing he has become the permanent host.

We will alway miss Alex Trebeck.

gwenhwalker@yahoo.com 02-17-2021 08:43 AM

Keep Ken

Give him the gig

I think he’s doing a fine job- can’t imagine some of these celebrities being the host. When they have Celebrity Jeopardy I can’t believe how uneducated some of them are.

Dot Rheinhardt 02-17-2021 09:55 AM

Ken gets better every day and has a good rapport with the contestants. I wonder why they didn't include Brad Rutter. I would rather see him instead of some of the other guests they have lined up.

Twofour6 02-17-2021 10:37 AM

Ken is doing a great job and should be offered as the permanent host. He moves the game at a quality pace without having to cut any game short of conclusion, which is something I couldn't understand from Alex. Perhaps he's given more program time than Alex.

Juliebythesea 02-17-2021 10:53 AM

We love Ken. We think he’s doing a great job!

jdrahaim 02-17-2021 11:48 AM

We like Ken Jennings also. Should be permanent host.

Agree with you.. I remember thinking how smart Maria Bartiroma was before she appeared on the show several years ago.

greg.turay 02-17-2021 05:09 PM

I am not a fan of his voice as an announcer and commentator. Should have a deeper voice for hosting. IMHO.

I thought the same thing at first, but got use to it.

.
.

“Jeopardy!” is about to welcome a new guest host.

Mike Richards, the show’s executive producer, will take over hosting duties next week from Ken Jennings, who stepped in following Alex Trebek’s death last year.

Richards, who will host from Feb. 22 until March 5, is the next in a series of planned interim hosts who will take a turn at the lectern this season. Other upcoming guest hosts include former TODAY co-host Katie Couric, Anderson Cooper, actor Mayim Bialik and TODAY’s own Savannah Guthrie.

Sorry - there is NO WAY we would watch Jeopardy with THESE 'guest hosts'. All these years I don't believe that Alex was 'political' or such. The four above are VERY political. period. Bring back Ken please.

To relate to the "other side" - imagine if Sean Hannity or Glenn Beck etc 'guest host'...
.
.

Taltarzac725 02-20-2021 03:12 PM

Ken Jennings is no Alex Trebek but he is doing well so far. But I have no problems with any of these guest hosts.

This is a brilliant woman-- Mayim Bialik - Wikipedia who could give Ken Jennings real competition as a final selection for a host.

They will find the right person in time.

I fully agree. If they get some 'star', they could also be losing a lot of their viewership

My guess is that they will go with someone who has been in the Jeopardy crew-- an announcer, producer, writer, or someone like that. He did have some assistants doing videos often as well.

Neils 02-20-2021 05:49 PM

Couric = cancel the show.

Actually the executive producer did an amazing job.

According to a poll on MSN 73% of people do not agree. We stopped watching.

Had fun watching the librarian on Jeopardy and one of the final questions really made me chuckle.

So far hope that Ken gets the position

So do I understand correctly, Jeopardy is about the host, not the show or the contestants....guess Alex was wrong.

‘Jeopardy!’ Champ Brayden Smith Died Following Surgery, Family Reveals – Deadline

Sad to see this when I was digging a little bit recent Jeopardy episodes. He was on at the end of Alex Trebek's hosting and was only 24. Won five times.

It is about the contestants and show but the host should add to the program.

Ken and the exec producer did, thought Katie did not.

I didn't care for Katie. She was too perky, or something.

I've never watched Dr. Oz, only knew about him from friends talking about his show. But I thought he did a decent job last night.
For now, Jeopardy is kinda about the host, since they're trying to pick a new one.

I did not care for Katie but think Dr Oz was worse. would rank him so far as #4.

Lets see if he does better the more he hosts.
