Yes, I remember, and I'm only 55. Even as late as the 80s, Sitcoms/Shows were great. Not so much, lately.

I dunno - I love the humor of Modern Family and Curb Your Enthusiasm with that sick puppy Larry David LOL. I also like Blackish, although not as much as the first two. And I adored The Middle with Patricia Heaton, who I also adored in Everybody Loves Raymond.

I forgot to add The Office -- how I loved that show. I am a big fan of the whole cast Steve Carrell, John Kraskinsky and, of course Jenna Fischer.

I like Jenna's new show Splitting Up Together (also starring Goldie Hawn's son, Oliver Hudson - not as funny as the others but it does have its moments.

I posted earlier this morning about The IT Crowd on PBS on Saturday evening. Turned on not knowing what it was and almost fell out of the chair laughing. Very politically incorrect, but so funny.

Curb Your Enthusiasm sometimes is quite hilarious. Mom can be funny too.

F. Troop, Gilligans Island, Mary Tyler More, Mash, Married With Children, All In The Family, Seinfeld, Friends, Johnny Carson, Rohan and Martins Laugh In, Saturday Night Live back in the early days before it became political, just a few of the so many great shows I can remember that will never be duplicated. The good old comedy's seems to be a thing of the past?

Political correctness, and bad language killed the funny shows.
To many people just waiting to be offended these days.

Not actually " Funny " when a laugh track is added. In England, for example, most American TV programs the laugh track is eliminated. Why? you may ask it is extremely Annoying!

Maybe, we have simply lost the ability to laugh at ourselves.

The need to laugh at, etc. those we determine our "enemies" supersedes all.

President Bush (actually both of them) had the ability to laugh at themselves. Good role models.
