The mark of a good actor is to make you believe they are that person, they are portraying. Doris make me sometimes irriitated, in that she was so overbearing.

A wonderful lady in real life.

I had an aunt who not by looks but manner was Doris Roberts twin. She was about as subtle as a train wreck but as lovable. Her response when you wanted to thank her for whatever was "just say thank you and shut up". In other words "thank you" said it all.

i loved her on Raymond but she also had some nice parts recently as an angel on several hallmark movies. she certainly was a hard worker and gave us all a lot of pleasure! RIP

She was a great actress and well loved by her audience and the professionals she worked with have nothing but good things to say about her.

She died peacefully in her sleep, from natural causes. That's what she deserved. She was a class act!
