Should see new season of Bosch fairly soon.

Sweet! It would be nice if they got Bosch out of LAPD for the final season. I like him there, but the books where he's out working cold cases or with the new female partner have been a fun change of pace.

I just finished watching Endeavour for the third time; I love all the main characters and how clever Morse is. The setting of the 60s and 70s is fun as well.

I've also seen the Lewis series but haven't been able to get into the original Inspector Morse show. It's sort of dated now, but since I started with Endeavour I just kind of resist John Thaw in the role.

Another favorite for repeat viewing is Foyle's War, set during WWII and its aftermath.

Bosch on Amazon Prime is a tightly plotted L.A. noir, if darker fare is your thing.

Edit: Endeavour is a British show that airs here on PBS under their Masterpiece Mystery banner.

I’ve very much enjoyed the many seasons of Mystery! On PBS that featured the Lord Peter Wimsey series by the great Dorothy Sayers, especially the three starring Edward Petherbridge (Strong Poison, Have His Carcase, and Gaudy Night). Also, the series of Miss Marple starring Joan Hickson. I like that more than Poirot.

While I love the Brother Cadfael mysteries by my late friend Ellis Peters, the television versions are sort of disappointing. The books are much better. I love Inspector Morse, but partly because I studied at Oxford and love seeing my old haunts. I also enjoyed “Campion.” Also, the large and great series of “Sherlock Holmes” starring Jeremy Brett.

Also, go to Netflix and watch the great Finnish series “Borderliner.” The Norwegian series “Bordertown” is also very good, and also, the Norwegian “Occupied” is excellent.

I have read AND watched Miss Marple and Hercule Poirot and loved them. There is something about British mysteries that give you a lot to enjoy. We are now watching "Vera" on Acorn.

The actress is so very good and the whole thing is just so very well done. It makes us glad to be shut in and forced to enjoy a wonderful hour without commercials.

Watch NEW TRICKS on Prime. Another British detective series. Three retired detectives brought back to open up old unsolved cases. Has it funny moments also.

A good murder series on Amazon Prime is "New Tricks". It is 8 episodes a season, 12 seasons. It's about 3 rehired retired homicide detectives to solve unsolved murder cases and the boss is a woman. They solve a case each episode so you are not tied up having to watch the whole thing at once. The kicker is that it is hysterically funny and good for some laugh out loud situations and my husband and I are enjoying it immensely. Good stress reliever during COVID time.

What a shame they had so much material from the books.

On the bright side, a Lincoln Lawyer series is in the works. Amazon, I think.

Rosemary & Thyme — British. Great humor and always a surprise ending.
