You were on step away from success. You needed to highlight the URL and click on the insert image tab above. The thrid from left in the bottom row. (it looks like a little newpaper icon.)

Why GMT rather than local time on postings?
 

I posted a message and the posted time is 4 hours later. Do you use GMT and if so why? Thanks.

You can set the time zone in User CP, Edit Options, Date & Time Options
