This is not an ISP issue, it is a traffic issue by the TOTV service provider. I have comcast and Verizon and when the problem occurs it does not matter which one I use, TOTV has a timeout problem. All other sites work fine. I have tried both providers, IE, Mozilla and Chrome, and two different laptops, one with Windows 7 and the other with Windows XP. Also have the same issue using a MAC with Safari.

When the log in issue happens, all options fail about the same way, usually a timeout or a VERY LONG response time to a log in request. All other internet sites work fine.

I have worked in the IT industry all my life and this problem is due to high traffic at the TOTV host site.

I agree with this...not sure if it's traffic to the site or the that the server itself is loosing a connection to the net, but either way, it's a provider problem; not a client issue. I, too, have used various methods to attempt connection to TOTV and all have the same results during these outage periods.

The problem is not on our end or our ISP... This has been an intermittent problem for several months now.

Comcast. Often have to go off line and back on line to get onto TOTV.

It is not a traffic issue for me - I use CenturyLink and have not been able to get on for three days now, at any time of day

CenturyLink also has issues accessing other sites, but currently TOTV is the one that has ZERO connection - the other sites are accessible on the second attempt

It appears like it is a provider issue. If you don't see anyone that you know on the site ask them if they have not been able to get on to call their provider to have them resolve.

Thanks for fixing this - I use Centurylink and this is the first time in three days I have been able to get on to Talk of the Villages

Made me realize how much I enjoy this site and its contributors, and how much I miss it when I can't access it
