Default I-77 north

Fellow road warriors....Rumor has it that I-77 north through NC and VA is a construction nightmare. Any truth to that? We are planning to head to Ohio in the RV next week and looking for any information regarding that route. Our other option is I-75. It's always a crap shoot as to which one won the orange barrel lottery for the season. Thanks in advance!

Hi, I am wondering the same thing. Usually drive down on I-77, then 95, but was told there would be "construction with delays for several years." Anybody been through lately?

Our friends recently went to Pittsburgh and returned. They encountered slow ups due to rush hour and construction nightmares from the Rock Hill area, Charlotte, through to Lake Norman and back. We normally make that way near Thanksgiving time every year. I have have to add, West Virginia has a lot of nerve calling that a " Turnpike ".
