Default Best route to Asheville NC

Driving to Asheville on a Sunday. Waze and Google maps both say I95 to I26 rather than I 75. Do you agree?

I agree. 9 hour trip plus stops. 564 miles, give or take.

We just did that trip last month. Try using Map Quest and avoid highways. We were able to turn a nine hour trip into a 11 1/4 hours. Very pleasant, no traffic, good roads, and some nice places to stop on the way. We also took two days with an overnight in Augusta. Just can't really enjoy driving the interstates anymore. Someone else on the boards gave me the idea to take 301 all the way up to Orangeburg.

Yes. I take 301 N to Callahan, go straight when you get to Callahan and catch 1-95. Stay off I-10.
