Cool Best Route to TV from NY by car

We will be driving down to TV in May, finally retiring, by the way it looks the rte should be 95 s, 295W @ jacksonville, and then it gets tricky, I want to go I-10 to I-75 to TV, has anyone taken this route? I prefer to stay on the Interstates.

If you prefer to stay on interstates that is the way you should go. A lot of people pick up 301 off of I-10 to cut the corner off and pick up I-75 again in Gainesville or Ocala. There are many speed traps on 301 but if you watch your speed it is faster than your way. Welcome to retirement and paradise.

Have done both 301 many times and I-75 only once because it adds 45-60 minutes to the trip. 301 is 55-65 mph for the most part. When you travel thru Starke, Lawtey, and Waldo you must strictly adhere to the speed limit because it's rigorously enforced. You travel thru all three in less than 15 minutes. I-75 has very heavy tractor trailer traffic to contend with.

Or you can drive to Lorton, VA, get on the autotrain, and get off in Sanford, 14 hours later, refreshed (if you can sleep in a lounge chair), and drive 1.5 hours to TV. I have done this 4 times, and driven I95 once, I hated the traffic and the construction.

Hopes this helps and welcome to TV.

I 95 South to Ormond Beach, West on Rt 40 to SR 19, South to RT 42, to Rt 441 South to TV.

Have tried every imaginable route and this is the best IMHO.

Believe that is SR 19 SOUTH to Rt 42 then West to US 441 and South to TV.

I took this train in November. Fortunate to have gotten the last mini room. The train hit someone, they were not hurt, but added 8 hours to the trip. Conductor had to be removed. Police investigation, etc.

We join with others here who have said this is the best way from NY. Wonderful final leg of trip once past Jacksonville, and no real speed traps a la Waldo Starke etc.

Original post still needs "then West to 441" to be "corrected"
