Looks like a dusty, dirty Woodstock with costumes. Not my cup of tea, but it’s past my time. I’m glad the “kids” that went there had a good time. Gives all attendees something to reminisce about.

I'm a "late-boomer." Born near the end of my generation in 1961 (Boomer gen ended in 1964-1965). Woodstock was before my time, and my parents were already settled in their house with their picket fence in the white middle-class suburbs of Connecticut when Woodstock happened.

But what I /did/ have, was southern rock festivals, Dead concerts, folk festivals all over New England. We were our own pseudo-hippie generation, where we ran around in our gauze midi-dresses, barefoot on the grass, getting rained on, wearing patchouli oil, drinking out of wineskins or sloshing beer all over each other to the beat of Molly Hatchett.

Good times. I think Burning Man took the concept to a whole other level. Good for them, I say! Every generation needs their time to shine, their festive celebration of the chaotic joy of life.
