Default Cruising the Carribean and the weather?

We are going on a cruise over the Thanksgiving holiday week.....and there appears to be a "tropical disturbance" forming in the Atlantic. We are cruising south and west Carribean so should not see much, if any affect.

With the many cruisers here in TV I thought it might be interesting to seek experiences of bad weather during a cruise.

The closest we have ever come is off the coast of Mexico when there was a tropical storm bouncing around the area.
The captain informed us we would have to cut a visit to one of the ports to get a head start away from the path of the storm. Which we did and we encountered no inclement weather and a minimal impact on the itinerary.
We have been very fortunate over our years of cruising having never come in contact with bad weather.

There has to be some here that have a good story to tell
of their experience.
