Default Disney

My wife and will be spending 3 days at Disney next month. I have never been there. What is the best way to see Disney in 3 days? Which parks do the adults enjoy most?

Are you talking about Disneyland or Walt Disney World? They have distinctly different "park"sonalities.

Three days will be a whirlwind tour for WDW. To describe it as being HUGE is an understatement. Here is a link to some message boards where you can do some of your research: http://www.disboards.com/ You may also want to purchase a WDW guidebook. Amazon has excellent deals for used and new guidebooks.

IMHO, I think it will be challenging, if not impossible, to visit all four parks in a three day time period. If you do purchase a guidebook, read through and decide what attractions interest you the most. Most of them have strategy guides for visitors who only have a certain number of days in the parks. Beware, some of their plans include somewhat exhausting days as they try to help their readers complete the most activities in the least amount of time.

My husband and I love EPCOT, especially the world showcase area. It features several different themed country areas. When you enter a "country" you actually get the feeling as if you're visiting a village in a real country. In EPCOT they have a nightly laser/fireworks/water show called "illuminations" which is a MUST SEE. You can view the show from almost any location around the lagoon, just make sure you can see the globe in the water.

Have a fun trip. Keep asking questions, I'm sure there are lots of people on TOTV who know lots about WDW.

Default Helpful sites

We have been to WDW about 15 times over the years while our familly was growing up. We have been three times without kids and enjoyed every time. The last three times I have used www.tourguidemike.com.

It was the best $22.00 I ever spent. You have to do a lot of research yourself but the amount of information provided is amazing. He will also provide a sample tour for the number of days you need.

Look at the website and if you have questions about it or any of the parks I will answer what I can.

I guess we are still kids at heart as we absolutely love Walt Disney World.

Thanks--I'll get one used from Amazon since I'm sure we'll need it again.

rshoffer,

I know you mentioned before that you were in the Army, but I'm not sure if you retired from the Army,if you did this is a Fantastic Deal from Disney.

My husband and I have season passes to Disney World--just renewed them. We go to Disney once a month and spend two nights. I LOVE the FANTASMIC show at Hollywood. It is a blend of lasers, fireworks, characters, etc. You have to get there at least 45 minutes early and they don't have shows every night so you can go to Disney World web page to see schedule. Epcot fireworks are every night. They are good but the "old fashioned" fireworks are at Magic Kingdom--include a Tinkerbelle Flight. They also don't do them every night so you need to check schedule. Magic Kingdom's Lighted parade is a sight to behold--love that too. The shows at Animal Kingdom--Nemo and Lion King are a must see. Also the Safari is the best--the animals are right there. I could go on and on as we are certainly Disney fans. Hope you enjoy your time there. Soarin at Epcot is definitely one of our favorites.

Default Disneyworld

I am a former Village Resident and moved to Georgia 5 years ago. I was a widow and remmaried and my husbands job was in Georgia that was the reason for my move. I am planning to come down to Florida for a few days in January to visit some friends and go to Disney world with my Niece and Nephew and their little boy. Could someone please give me the directions to go to DW using Route 50. I know how to via the Turnpike or down 27 to 192 but someone told me you can go in the back way via rt 50 and byass all the traffic on 192. I would appreciate any help on this matter. I spent 8 wonderfull years in the Villages and loved every minute of it. I really love living in Georgia 1hr from Macon,2hrs from Savannah and about 4hrs form the Georgia Mountains and about 2 and a half hours from the Ocean. and only 6hours to the Villages so I feel I have the best of both worlds.I love to keep up with the news in the Villages and cannot wait to see how it had grown in the last 5 years.
