Default MS Konnisdam

Anyone booked on initial 19 day cruise on MS Konigsdam? very cheap as it equivalent to soft Opening. Was to sail 20 Feb f3rom Cittevecheia (Rome) Some on our Rio Carneval and Amazon Explorer cruise it was delayed until late April. Verandah VD or better $3299 a piece.

Anyone been on large HAL ships? implication is no show in evening, just BB Kings Blue's Lounge, we like the good shows. Have not gone on anything bigger then Amsterdam, Ryyndam, Maasdam.

You know that the Staatendam, Rynndam, are sold to P&O Australia?
Seems like HAL is getting rid of their good ships. There new ships would have a hard time going round the World.

We have been on the Eurodam, and doing the T/A on it in two weeks, but prefer HAL's smaller ships.

Worst thing was the cinema - nice seats, but way too few for a ship of that size. Had to turn up for the movie an hour early.

There were shows every evening and, from memory, the theatre is three-storey.

The biggest ship we have been on was the Celebrity Solstice, and it was a nightmare getting on and off as there were so many people and no real control system - just a free-for-all including queues in the stairwells.

Interesting. Future Cruise consultants said there were shows in evening, a passenger from Eurodam insisted just BB King's. Though this last cruise had many nights no show.

Went one time on majesty of the seas, since then I convinced my wife to stay with HAL. $200 down so we can back out. Just kope HAL keeps smaller ships, we like to cruise less often but longer. This was first cruise we could drive to1 no weight or luggage limit. Took carton of water to drind when on shore in Brazil. Heard rumors Massdam to be sold to Aida, along with sale of Staterndam and Veendam to P&O Australia.

Carnival Corp going way of GM, And we just made 5 Star.

Remember to buy 100 shares Carnival to get extra ship board credit, up to $250.

Our trip on the Eurodam was back in 2009 so things may have changed - they do seem to be cutting back
