As all the others said but add a bus tour as well, of Nashville. We spent time there with family to celebrate a significant anniversary. Go to Franklin and walk their main street as well then venture over to The Factory and browse. There's so much to see in Nashville and surrounding area that more than one trip might be in your future. Have fun!!!

Do a “pub crawl” on Broadway from Rep. John L. Lewis Way to 2nd Ave (that’s two blocks). You can do this in the afternoon. Or at night, but it’s louder and more crowded then. There are lots of bars, and most seem to have singers and guitar players on a little stage all day. They may be new in town, hoping someone will notice them. Some are very good singers and players and songwriters, but still unknown. Most will remain unknown. Enjoy a beer and leave each one a ten or a twenty so they don’t have to sleep in their car.

Nashville
Nash Trash tour is hilarious. It is about 2 hours and reasonably priced. You ride on a hot pink school bus while two hilarious women give you the “real trash” talk about what goes on in Nashville. Our group laughed from the moment we got on until we got off. Definitely a fun day!

If you like to eat, and you have Netflix, watch ‘Somebody feed Phil’ Nashville episode

We loved the Johnny Cash Museum. Tour the Ryman, visit the country music hall of fame and just walk around town and pop in and out of places.

Easy to find things to do, and you can’t go wrong choosing any of them for the tourist experience. If you want my recommendation for the two best places to eat . . . . Jimmy Kelly’s in Nashville (dinner -steak) and Top Hog (an easy 20-miles north of Nashville, lunch. Skip the BBQ, although it IS wonderful, but go for the catfish, cole slaw, white beans and cornbread . . . . and Sweet Tea of course).

They will certainly get nothing worthwhile from you. That's for sure!

Hop on/off trolley. Walk up and down the main street and listen free of charge to some of the best music you will ever hear. Food isn't great--probably on par with TV.

Huckabee Show
Try to get tickets and watch the Huckabee Show live. It's taped just outside Nashville.

Go to lower Broadway and check out our fine Honky Tonks and enjoy the country music. While there buy yourself some cowboy boots and a hat. Visit the Parthenon, the Grand Ole Opry and the Ryman, tour The Hermitage home of President Andrew Jackson. To save money stay away from downtown hotels and ride share…. If you are driving, try to avoid rush hour in Atlanta and Chattanooga. There is a Nash Trash tour that is very popular!

We stayed at Gaylords, It was fantastic. The lobby in itself is something to see. Go to Viator.com and you can purchase passes to all the great suggestions everyone said. Also take the backstage tour at the Grand ole Opry and definitely see a show. The hermitage is another good one. If you go, ask an employee to see the very first photo ever of Andrew Jackson. Belle Meade is another good one. Of course a stroll down the main area with all the bars and clubs is a must. Sun studios , RCA, Ryman theater , Johnny cash museum, country Hall of fame, etc. Even if you don't want to purchase tickets on Viator, you can get good ideas of what to see. Enjoy your trip!
