Did the 15 day cruise from Amsterdam to Vienna. It was great, very relaxing, food and staff were 1st rate. Cost was less than Viking and we loved it.

You will definintely get your money's worth with Grand Circle BUT there are certain little things I didnt like. Ships are older, food/service were good, cabins reminded me of dorm rooms with separate beds that could not be moved, pre/post hotel accomodations not necessarily in the center or close to town. You will see alot with Grand Circle and be happy

We found good step up from Grand Circle and "value" cruising is with AMAwaterways

We also did the Vienna to Amsterdam trip on Grand Circle. One of the things they have that is different from other companies is a day when you go into a host home for coffee and dessert. I am a retired school principal and they actually dropped 6 of us off at a home of a retired school principal in Germany (can't remember the town's name). What an awesome way to appreciate how they spend their daily lives and to learn how much we have in common.

Just came across this thread and thought I would add my two cents. We have done three trips with Grand Circle and are about to do our fourth. Needless to say, we are happy with them. We have done two river cruises with them (Great Rivers of Europe and the trip from Paris down the Rhone River ending on the French Riviera). Feel free to PM me if you want more information.

We have done three river cruises and two land tours with Grand Circle. Very pleased with everything. Can't wait to plan our next trip with them sometime this year!
