Default Upcoming Cruise

By any chance is anyone planning to sail on RC's Brilliance of the Seas out of Tampa on Jan. 17? Hubby and I will be aboard and would love to get together for a drink with any Villagers who might be sailing to Cozumel with us.

Just got back this morning on RC's Brilliance of the Seas. third trip on it. It was great. The food and service was wonderful and we love all the trivia games in the Schooner Bar. We tried The Oasis last year and didn't like it. Too big, no personal service, never had the same table for dinner twice and we were supposed to be My-Time-Dining and long waits for elevators and the Schooner bar was 1/3 the size of other ships and very little entertainment and only late at night. Give me the smaller ships anytime. Andre in the Schooner Bar is the best waiter. The food was so good in the main dining room that I recommend you pass on specialty restaurants. We were fogged in in Tampa and couldn't leave on Sat at 5 and didn't get out until 4 on Sunday so we missed Grand Cayman that we were looking forward to as we haven't been there. Didn't get off ship in Cozumel (3rd time there). Have a wonderful trip and smooth seas.

Last April we sailed on the Brilliance to The Azors and Ireland. Then to Amsterdam—where we eventually flew home. It is a wonderful ship. If you play cards, there is a nice card room right off the dining room. We played cards with our friends every day after breakfast. There is also a Cinema. Great ship!

We sailed Brilliance from London to Boston a few years ago and it was the best cruise ever! Love the ship. Ports were amazing. Had a great group at our table every evening. Looking forward to sailing her again for this quick 4-night getaway. Raynan, what a shame you missed Grand Cayman. LOVE that port (other than having to tender!) You will just have to plan another cruise that stops there, eh? (We sailed the Greek Isles several years ago and missed Santorini due to choppy water. Always said "We'll just have to go back!" Next October we sail Crystal from Rome to Athens with stops in Santorini and Israel (three days). Fingers crossed for smooth water this time around!)
