Best selection of vegetables

Sprouts at Buena Vista and 466. I use lots of vegetables and fruit, they have great selection and stand behind their products.

Bountiful Farms has local produce in Okahumpka. On Wednesdays they have a small farmers market.

Is there another grocery in TV (or short drive) that is your favorite for produce?
TIA

For produce, you can't beat the prices at Walmart and due to the fact that they have a high turnover in their produce department, its always fresh. True, Walmart may not have the large perfect-looking fruit you find in the gourmet stores. However, an apple that is small or mis-shapen has the exact same nutritional value as a perfect-looking apple costing twice the price in a fancy store.

Wow !

i've been doing Sprouts, though selections can be limited. (i agree Publix has mediocre fruits, watch for spoilage in pre-packed produce.) now & again i have good luck with roadside stands along 301

you can start in Wildwood @ 301, follow it all the way down. go past Oakwood Smokehouse and keep going another mile or so. before you get to the DQ, the stand is on the right hand side of the road with many signs-you can't miss it. (there's a smaller stand on 301 before you get there, but keep going and you will find the larger one with everything.)

I find that it makes a big difference what day and time you go to the store. Especially lettuce. We've been to walmart, publix, and winn-dixie at different times and it's the freshest of the fresh, and other times it's all brown. But I have to say Sam's Club seems to be consistent, they have a couple of refrigerated rooms where stuff is always fresh. And as long as you're there, their fresh squeezed orange juice is amazing! Waiting for Costco to show up, then I suspect everybody's gonna up their game.

Homepage - The Villages Grown Route 44 where the big green houses are!! Limited selection but farm fresh. Great tour if you have time.

Aldi selection is lousy, very limited and not very fresh...the Marion Market or Brownwood Farmers market every Saturday is your best bet. Marion is a bit of a drive, Brownwood every Saturday is great.

Aldi, by far.

They don't always have everything in stock, but what they do have tends to be fresh and cheap.

Rarely buy their other products, but their fruit/salad/veg are excellent

As a vegan, i buy tons of fresh produce weekly. Over the years, I have come to realise that SAMs and Costco are unbeatable in terms of freshness and reliability. I also like Sprouts for the variety. They have the best avocados, gluten free breads, and some exotic produce. Lighthouse market has the freshest fish according to my foodie neighbours.

Honestly we buy most of our produce at Walmart.
I really enjoy cooking so frequently I am looking for more/better produce than I can get at Wally World. A few places come to mind.

Sprouts has a good selection.

The Markets of Marion Fri-Sun mornings has an entire wing of produce vendors. Besides, it’s kind of fun to go to the huge flee market. Saturday or Sunday are probably the best days but Friday is good minus one or two vendors.

Brownwood farmers market of Saturday mornings.

If you find a better place please let us know.

Depends on what you need. Costco for romaine lettuce and fruit or veggie trays. Fresh Market for baby bok choy.

Winn Dixie also will except return's, no? asked
