Default Clover valley bread

Was in dollar store and needed some bread. They had few brands. I seen Wonder bread was nearly 4 bucks for load. Looked down and saw clover valley enriched white bread $2 bucks.

I was amazed how fresh it was and tasted. (Stopped buying wonder bread cause it always seemed old, nearly stale, and dry.) Looked on label and seen it was made in Goodlettsville Tn. I usually buy Sara Lee from Horsham PA. Which taste fresh. But, iMO clover valley got Sara Lee beat.

Ok, I don’t need nutritional tutorials on why I shouldn’t be eating white bread, you’ll be wasting your time. i am only 15 pounds from my optimal weight for my height. Not on any daily meds, and can see my toes and put on socks easily.

Also noticed clover valley bread takes way less time to toast. I had to turn my toaster down 1/3 so it won’t burn clover valley bread compared to wonder bread which was like toasting old boot or stick of wood…

I had wonder bread once as a child, at friends house. Our bread always made at home, and I couldn’t get over the squishy, stick to roof of mouth feel. Plus I had never had White bread, so it was very odd taste. I bake 7 grain or wheat berry, same recipe as my great grans.

The only commercial bread I buy if I am desperate, is 7 grain, from TJ’s. Spouse loves sourdough, I have a great starter, but just not a fan, so I proof one pound freeze half and bake 1/2 pound just for pouched eggs.

A grain loaf lasts about 10 days or more for us, after I bake, and cut off both ends savoring while hot, then I vacuum freeze 1/3.

I have no problem with your choices and to you I say Bon Appetit! As far as my taste buds, I don't care for bread that can be made into dough balls for fishing.

Whatever type/brand/company of bread I choose, I always freeze it and thaw out as
many slices I'll eat.
5 grain is my favorite.
