Default I knead to find flour

The joke going around is that everyone is now making homemade bread while bored in quarantine. Although that is great, I'm having trouble finding more flour and yeast. Anyone see any at a grocery store or know of any restaurants selling some?

I've been on a pizza making kick lately. Has anyone else been making their own dough or bread lately? Any good recipes to share?

I found flour at Publix, but haven’t found any yeast yet. Will let you know if/when I find any.

BJ's in Clermont had flour on Monday...not aware of whether they had any yeast, as that's not anything that we purchase

We've bought freshly made pizza dough at Publix in the past...it does freeze well if you're not ready to roll it out right away

Yeast has been hard to find for a month. I picked up some at Trader Joe’s in Gainesville couple weeks ago

I found a JAR! of yeast yesterday at Winn Dixie on 466-A. There were 4 or 5 more plus a couple of boxes of packets. I had to look it was on the bottom row. Flour was very thin though.

You can make your own yeast from flour, a bit of sugar, and time. Google sourdough starter and you'll have something to do for a week or so...and won't need commercial yeast ever again. Once it gets going it stays nicely in the fridge...and it becomes your pet since you feed it every so often.

I found yeast (fast acting and regular) at Aldi's. No problems finding flour when I wanted it. Bought some yeast for my neighbor and now enjoy warm cinnamon rolls!

Wife got some at Walmart about a week ago. America’s “food chain” is temporary interrupted by Coronavirus.
