Default New eating trends among millennials...Avocado Toast.

Last time our granddaughter in her twenties came to visit she requested we stock up on fresh avocados so she could spread them on toast for breakfast.

Anyone tried it? It didn't look good to me. I like mine made into guacamole.

For breakfast I like some nice oatmeal or cheerios.

What do you eat for breakfast?

Greek yogurt, a banana, and a cup of tea.

It is healthy - probably a Dr. Oz idea.

My son got me in the habit, as well. I start with a piece of toast, then spread 1/2 avocado on it. Add a sliced, hardboiled egg, and sprinkle salt & pepper or Thatcher's Creole Seasoning on it. Healthy fats, protein, and keeps you going for at least 5-6 hours.

Yeah the avocado toast has been the rage for a while. It's one of the most healthy fats you can eat.

I'm trying to incorporate more dark greens and purple into my diet. Personally I don't get enough protein if I don't eat meat.

I grew up eating avocados in various ways. They contain healthy fats, very good for the skin among other things. Guacamole is my favorite dip but I prefer it on tortilla chips rather than the recent toast trend. Starbucks Is Finally Serving Avocado Toast - Eater

The price of Hass avocados, especially the organic ones, has gone through the roof over the past year or so due to the avocado on toast fad.

Helpful hint. Retain the pit in the unused half of an avocado or in a bowl of mashed avocado or guacamole and cover it as airtight as possible with Saran Wrap to keep it from blackening. Refrigerate it of course.

Bon appetit!

For breakfast we eat whatever is left over from prior meals, tacos, catfish, pork chops, whatever. If no leftovers, then it's a poached egg and toast. My husband always has fresh fruit salad prepared. Always, 365 days per year.

Love avocado toast. I add only pepper. Keeps me full until lunch!

12 grain toasted, spread some natural peanut butter, then spread cilantro, jalapeno hummus on top. sounds bad to some, but actually quite tasty and good for you.

Cinnamon raisin bread with peanut butter, and coffee of course. Sometimes yogurt, sometimes just a banana. I used to eat oatmeal almost every morning up north, but now that we have moved here, I have no desire for it. Strange.

I can see that. Oatmeal is better in the cold.

I love grapefruit but i just find it to be a pain in the ass. Did mix some grapefruit juice with lemon vodka on easter, though not for breakfast.
