That’s one thing I don’t like about TooJays. Their bread has seeds in it and the rest of their bread is not great either.

You refer to Rye Bread from Chicago. Real Jewish Rye Bread is available in most large cities, but it is not so popular in smaller areas. If all else fails, try buying Jewish Rye Bread on line. If you google Jewish Rye several sites come up that ship, some ship free.

Default 2 Ideas

I make all of our bread and Rye is one I make regularly. I buy my flour two ways.

This is good stuff and they sell this now and then at Publix.
I also grind my own flour with my Nutrimill. It is nutritious and you buy once and cry once.
The mill is expensive, but the quality of fresh ground flour is so valuable. I buy the rye grains here.

I have been able to buy yeast on Amazon and it was here.

Winn Dixie and Publix both sell rye bread without seeds. Winn Dixie has the better flavor than Publix. As a last resort you can buy commercial rye bread in the bread aisle but not as good as the above.

Publix has whole rye breads (with and without seeds) and Deli Rye pre-sliced for sandwiches, also with or without seeds. Look in the Bakery Department and sometimes on the Deli Counter. By the way - I keep my rye bread in the freezer, take out what I need and put it back in the freezer. It's not just for deli sandwiches - PB &J on rye, grilled cheese with tomato on rye or just rye toast in the morning.

I had to purchase on Amazon. Could not find anywhere. I will gladly donate a bag as I had to buy in bulk. BTW, I would love to have your recipe as I haven't found the ONE yet. Tina

Entenmann’s sells wonderful Ryebread. Take 42 turn left at 441. Go 1/2 mile on left.

You can get German rye bread at the Yalaha Bakery in Yalaha, Florida. It’s only about a 15 minute ride from The Villages. They have a Jewish rye with caraway seeds and the German rye bread with no Caraway seeds is exactly the same.

As of last week the Entemann's outlet still closed. Hoping they reopen soon.
