No. My drive belt, which is still in spec, has 30K miles on it and is 8 years old. The original belt was replaced because of unsmooth startups. My starter/generator belt is 10 years old with 37K miles on it. I inspect it regularly and it is fine.

I thought 1800 miles seemed low (I already have 3,000 on mine) but maybe it has to do with the type of driving. My 3,000 miles is mostly steady driving from Brownwood to LSL or Spanish Springs. If I was doing a lot more stop and start, like golfing might require, then maybe the belt would wear out more quickly.
