Default UPDATE!!!!2nd Annual Freeze UPDATE!!!!!

Announcing the 2nd Annual Freeze in The Villages!

Due to scheduling conflicts the time and date have been changed. We will now be Freezing to Rocky and the Roller's, at (see below)
Almost a year ago in April, of 2008 we held the 1st Annual Freeze in TV. There were about 30+/- people that showed up for what turned out to be a really fun, friend making, event. Some of us knew each other and some of us didn't, but we were all friends at the end.

Come and join us this year, make new friends, and laugh with the people you already know. Everyone is welcome and invited to join in the fun.

Date: Feb. 17th, 2009
Time: 5:15pm
Where: The clock at Lake Sumter Landing

Meeting at 5:15 allows us to walk onto the Square together... the actual Freeze will begin at 5:30pm sharp.

All participants will freeze when they hear the horn/whistle that I will blow at 5:30pm.

Participants will hold their chosen position for 4 minutes (we went for 3 minutes last year, so we will up it by 1 minute this year....because we can!)

At the end of the 4 minutes, I will blow the horn/whistle again and we will all dance to the music, walk, talk, move, whatever.

It's simple, it's fun. The hardest thing is not laughing during the actual Freeze part!

Now here is the twist. Creative poses would be fun. Perhaps you will freeze in a kissing pose, like our famed couple from last year, Shirleevee and her Hubby. Maybe you will hold a big heart. Maybe you will come in costume, whatever clever idea you can come up with is great. Simply holding still is enough.

Hope you will join in the fun.
See you there!

Hi Just Susan,

Count us in again.

Thanks for planning this for all of us.

Bright - I hear you have Dutch Elm Disease, is that true? The freeze is the only cure known to man!

I am so sorry to hear about Brightspot's Dutch Elm disease and happy to know that THE FREEZE will cure it. (Does anyone know how she got it?) I had a little episode of Dropsy last week and wonder if THE FREEZE would alleviate the symptoms?

LOL LOL LOL

Susan...thanks for organizing this fun event again. Last year I wasn't here for the "Freeze," but the video looked like a wonderfully zany, loony, time was had by all, and I am so happy to be here to participate this year. I will be there with icycles on...hmmmm...not a bad idea. Thanks again for organizing the "Freeze."

Last year was so much fun. Chachacha was visiting TV and I walked up to her and told her what we were doing and asked her to join in. She was such a great sport and froze with us. We had a wonderful time.

Default Valentine's Day?

Most of us will be out to dinner treating out loved ones for Valentine's Day. The squares were nearly empty last year at this time.

I could think of many other dates where you'd get a much better turn-out.

Count us in .. we had a wonderful time at last year's Freeze.

We will be there for sure! With bells on. Or hearts on. Oh, just thought of something .. Fireboy has a bow and arrow, perhaps I can persuade him to dress up like Cupid. LOL.

We've been "FREEZING " in NJ for 2 months now! 2 more to go....
Could you do a Spring "Thaw" for those of us wishing we were there??? Have fun guys. Wish were there to do it with you all! We watched it last year. It was hysterical.

My Dutch Elm disease won't be cured by then sorry to say. And...I certainly wouldn't want to pass it on to my hubby and his buddy who will be in TV at that time and participating in the FREEZE! How horrible if I passed it on to them at a time they planned a week getaway by themselves.

For those of you who missed The FREEZE last year...here is a video replay. Enjoy!

I agree with Skip, I wrote to Just Susan that there are a few parties happening on that day and perhaps we should/or could make it another day. I would love to be a part of it but we have our neighborhood "LOWER" Heavenly Hadley block party that night. Do ya think we could pick another day??? PLEASSSEEEEEE! I wanna be a part of it.
