I’ve seen many close calls with cars backing out of parking sports at LSL and Brownwood, around the squares. |

All stop signs are suggestions anyway. But when LEO in the mix all sudden everybody knows how to negotiate them. |

The danger issue is that golf carts can’t see around the parked cars until they pull into the intersection. It’s a bad accident ready to happen.

Simpler solution is add Cross Traffic Does Not Stop signs to those intersection Stop signs. Won’t eliminate the problem but will help a lot.
|
Actually, there is a terrible visibility problem at that intersection. A traffic light would help as long as it is not on a timer, and actually monitors the traffic.

The trouble with adding stop signs is that they spread like wildfire. You add signs at that intersection and within a year every intersection at Brownwood will be a 4 way stop.

I have seen several people on W Torch Lake stop for the other traffic.
I noticed that they did away with the four way stop going into Lowes off of 466A. Probably why they did away with the one at W Torch Lake...:popcorn::popcorn: |
I received a nice reply from the CDD in charge of this issue. There had been a traffic study done some time in the past indicating a 4 way stop was not necessary.
However, the Director of the District Property Management has said he will go review the situation himself. I appreciated the responsiveness from the Director. |
